Chao Island Daycare

This page is all about the Chao Island Daycare!

For those of you who played the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure games back in the early 00’s, you may remember that they had the ability to connect to the internet and access the official Sonic Adventure websites. One feature on the website for both games was the Chao Daycare, where you could upload a Chao from your Chao Garden for others to download into their own garden! You could also browse other peoples Chao and save them to your Chao Garden too!

It’s been a long time since then, and with the games remade, and available on PC, we are proud to announce our very own Chao Island Daycare!

So how does the Chao Island Daycare work? Well you will need a few things. Firstly, you’re going to need the PC version of Sonic Adventure DX or Sonic Adventure 2 (the Steam version of Sonic Adventure 2, not on an emulator). Secondly, you will need a Chao Import/Export tool such as Krzys2’s Chao Exporter/Importer available here at Chao Island. The allows you to be able to download your Chao to a .chao file onto your PC, and also upload .chao files. This is what we use to get the Chao Island daycare working!
