Yeah that's the issue with such cool strategies, they only work once. Even when facing a new opponent, they might know what you're up to already from seeing other matches.

The nature is good and the IVs are 4 perfect, and that's fine with me. I was gonna use a different one with the same IVs anyway, so I'm just gonna gamble on fear and use a shiny to look cool :P

Well the point is that I will choose between using a shiny for some street cred ;) or lightning rod for the off-chance someone decides to use an electric attack around electric type pokemon, especially if they are ABLE to have lightning rod.
