Re: Tiny Chao Garden - Android/iOS/HTML5(PC+Mac) | *12/8/201

Playing the HTML5 version on a rather low end PC I get immense lag. 3.0ghz Pentium 4 512MB ram Opera 12 With fullscreen off I get 60FPS. Trying using a modern web browser. (Opera 12 is not up-to-par with say: Google Chrome) (yes I am making fun of Opera. Yes I am serious when I say use Google Chrome)

Tiny Chao Garden - Android/iOS/HTML5(PC+Mac) | *12/8/2011*

Hey guys. I've been a bit busy with college and work, so I haven't really been doing a lot of personal programming lately. Recently I've had some free time, though. So I've started on some interesting work for my Chao Garden (PC) again. If anyone remembers, I was trying to recreate the Chao Garden e...

mediocre tbh A thousand times this. This..but.. I like these. BECAUSE THEY'RE THE ONLY ONES HERE. Have to agree with this guy. I wish there was someone who was a bit better, and more interested in making specifically Chao/Sonic sprites for me, recently. I've had to do most of the work myself, or ha...

Changelog~ 7/30/2011~ - Update 2.0! (Finally in 3D!) -3D -3D -Removed the Chao Doctor for now(sorry guys, the Doctor was outdated, only showed Chao from Garden1, I'll fix that later on) -Save files for both Garden and Chao will seemlessly transfer over to 3D, not converting or anything required! -3D...

Re: Tiny Chao Garden - PC | *5/12/2011*

Eclipse? That's a Java IDE. I actually have worked with that, a lot. It's my favorite way to develop java apps. Though, this game is way to process heavy to be done in a language as slow as Java, so... yeah I wouldn't do that with that. And sorry bro, no GIR Chao, lol. But I have been working on oth...

Re: Tiny Chao Garden - PC | *5/12/2011*

This looks awesome! :D Can't wait to try it someday. I'm trying to get it finished, and released, on or before July 20th. So look around that time. (no promises, though lol. Life is unpredictable) Until I finish the 3D version, you can still play with the 2D version. Your save files will transfer o...

Here's a quick preview, of the 3D so far. (UI still isn't finished. Been focused on more important things. Stuff like the UI is the least of my concern, until full 3D conversion is finished. Have to state this, because this is the first thing anyone will notice from it, lol) http://crossedshadows.co...

Re: Tiny Chao Garden - PC | *5/12/2011*

Are you using a Mac or something? If so, I'm afraid to tell you that you made a terrible choice in PCs I am running 32-Bit Debian Linux with a vintage 2007 Intel Celeron. Also, in my opinion, the only advantage WIndows has over Linux is that most PC game developers are biased in Window's favor, but...

Re: Tiny Chao Garden - PC | *5/12/2011*

It's heavily dependent on DirectX. This is what I feared. I cannot run it natively, and the compatibility layer I am using has never been all that good with DirectX. I do not know how difficult it would be, but I would suggest looking into OpenGL for the planned 3-D remake. Has anyone tested this o...

Re: Tiny Chao Garden - PC | *5/12/2011*

Try playing this game, but the display is all black. I think the cause might be the use of DirectDraw for generating the graphics, but I will look into this more on my end. For the record, I am running this via Wine on Debian Testing. It's heavily dependent on DirectX. Seeing how you're the only on...

Anyone here that can sprite?

Hey, as most of you know, I'm working on that one Chao Garden ( http://tinyurl.com/5ux2esf ). Right now, I'm converting it into a 3D garden, but I'm lacking a few sprites(graphics) to do so. Basically, I'm making a full fledged garden from the ground up. The first release (Chao Garden v2.0) of the 3...

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)

They could be generated, but data would be lost by doing that, and data loss isn't a good thing. It's perfectly safe to transfer a chao from SADX to your game, but it is not safe to transfer a chao from your game to SADX. I suppose I could still allow it and include a warning message about it. I'm ...

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)

And for things crashing on import, this would be an easy fix. Just catch whatever variables I don't have, and set them to a default value, before importing. Sure, but not all of the SADX chao data is known and understood yet. I could take one of the chao that SADX creates when you first enter a gar...

Re: Fusion's SADX PC Chao Editor (Version 1.0, 2011-01-15)

Yes. It does. If you have the necessary information to read my .chao files, it should be an easy process to import them into your game. However, exporting a chao from your game into SADX and not having a crash or a messed up chao would probably be a difficult task. Necessary information would be a ...
