Re: "Marshadow"? More like CHAO.
In what way is Marshadow like a chao? sorry man, I don't see it. Nintendo didn't steal anything. Marshadow doesn't even have "blobby limbs" His feet are pegs that connect to his body. And there's no emote ball. He' just a generic upright small creature. There's not enough to go by, to say...

Re: How do you name your chao?
I name all my characters/chao/pets/Pokémon/etc pretty much the same way. If they have features that make me think of a character in an Anime, Movie, Video Game, or other media source, I'll name them after that. Or, I'll just choose names I like. But I only get down to the "name-smithing" names, when...

I'll send my friend on a mission then to do this. lol. I'll report back later, kek.AugustChao wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 6:56 pm I don't know if there are any major differences between it and the other versions of the Tiny Chao Garden apart from the obvious difference of not being able to play stages for rings.

Re: What if Chao garden games were a standalone game?
^I think the fallacy you're looking for is hasty generalization. And for what it's worth, poor execution leading to boring or tediously repetitive gameplay is a general problem in game design, not one exclusive to the virtual pet genre. Aah, yes, that sounds right. And also, I wasn't intending to s...

Wait what are we talking about exactly? You listed seals as hero, but I know you can get them pretty frequently in Radical Highway, a Dark stage

https://chao-island.com/info-center/advanced/colours/ If you scroll down to the section on SA1DC, not only does it elaborate on it, but there's also a picture. https://chao-island.com/assets/images/info-center/colours-sa1-bronze-tn.png Well I'll be damned. Why has this never come up before? :thinki...

Re: What Happens if you Transfer a Bronze Chao into SA2?
In SA1, by breeding a Gold Chao and a Two-Tone Black Chao, you can supposedly get a "Bronze Chao", which I can only describe as a darker variant of the Gold Chao. Apparently, it's a Dreamcast exclusive. Is there any proof for this? Screenshots? maybe a page showing it? because I've never heard of t...

Re: What Happens if you Transfer a Bronze Chao into SA2?
Bronze chao? What is this absurdity before my eyes? The Jewel chao are as follows: Silver, Gold, The gemstones (Ruby, Sapphire, Garnet, Topaz, Emerald, Peridot, Aquamarine, and Amethyst), and Onyx. Not sure if you'd call Onyx a gemstone or not, so I'm just going to leave it out of the mix You can se...

Re: What if Chao garden games were a standalone game?
I honestly don't think that a stand-alone Chao Garden would really work unless it was VERY well executed. To explain some of my reasons why, I present to you exhibit A, also known as Chao Resort Island. Although it obviously was a well done Fan-game with a lot of effort put into it, it's a shining ...

Re: What if Chao garden games were a standalone game?
a rarer reward in the mini-games. Ouch. I don't like that idea. Unless of course the rarity is low, and/or they allow you to use the item multiple times and it gives you a good amount of points towards the stat. Which reminds me, There should be a separation from influence and stat point gains. It ...

Re: What if Chao garden games were a standalone game?
So how would we get their stats up, if we couldn't hunt for animals/drives? Or do you suppose they'd give us a way to do that outside of the garden?

I've tried to jump on chao as tails before, just to see if it can be done. No luck so far. Interesting that you found it though.
