Coffee vs. Tea.
Coffee vs. Tea.
Coffee and Tea are parallel in many ways. They're both great (subjectively), for one. They're both incredibly simple (bean water and leaf water, respectively), as a second point.
They're also so varied that every person at least likes one type of either. Let's discuss it.
You guys like that segue? I think it was pretty good.
Basically let's talk about Coffee, and/or tea. Personally I love coffee (especially McDonald's coffee, which at a dollar for a large cup ain't half bad), but don't really like tea (except cold green tea and even then my relationship with it is best compared to a cat's relationship with baths). My favorite type of coffee is really any blend, with some good creamer and a bit of sugar, though lately I've been trying to enjoy more straight black coffee.
Also i mostly made this topic because for the first time ever I underwent the necessary stress and pain to actually make some homemade coffee.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
I really enjoy both, coffee brewed bold and served straight is my preference, but it also depends on the coffee as just like there are different tomatos and tea there are other coffee that are prepared in different ways. I prefer my coffee hot, but in the summer I will drink it iced.
My favorite blend of coffee is Gevalia French Roast dark roast (not bold, but dark) made in a french press:

(I love coffee, it's my favorite thing in the world)
As for tea my favorite tends to be sugar black tea, I'm not a large fan of green tea but I'll still drink it.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
It is against my religion's dietary code to consume coffee and tea. I've never tasted either of them.
They both smell profoundly horrible however, especially coffee. I don't think I would drink them even if there were no restrictions on those substances.

Probably depends on what type of coffee or tea you smelled. Even the most basic forms of coffee at least are varied (there's pure black coffee which is just bean water, and there's the more commonly drank version of coffee with a lot of creamer and sugar added to give it more of a milk-like consistency and smell). Straight black does smell unique, to say the least.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
It's hard to say which I like more.
When it comes to coffee, I like it both hot and iced if it's sweet enough. For tea, I'm having trouble enjoying it hot, but iced tea I tend to enjoy more than coffee in general.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
I typically only drink coffee for its caffeine, since I don't like cola. And I put a lot of sugar in it, so it ends up making me nauseous...
I have a lot of weird tea bags for whatever I might want at the moment - black, green, white, jasmine, mint, apple, and so on. I also have some maccha lying around.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
Gross, tea is nasty. It's like boiled water that has hints of flavor in it but nothing substantial. Boiled water with no taste is gross. Iced tea is ok, I can't really remember having it aside from once maybe but I still think it's gross from what my memory is telling me. I'd definitely have an iced tea over hot tea any day of the week but I would much rather have normal water than any tea.
Coffee though is great. I can't take it black and bitter, but if it's really sweet it tastes great, regardless of temperature. I think the best part about coffee is that you can taste the flavor of whatever you put in distinctly, making the coffee kinda bend around what you want to taste rather than what taste is given (this is all depending on the brand you use, I know some of the creamers and roasts I've tried were genuinely terrible and tasted nothing at all like what was advertised).
Now I know tea can do that, but I've yet to encounter a tea that can create strong flavors representing what was on the box. All I've ever tasted from everything was water, and somehow it tasted like bad water. Which is weird.

I don't like tea unless it's iced tea. I do love coffee though.

Do you hate diet soda as well? Like, with a passion? My tastebuds absolutely burn at even the mention of either diet or this gross-ass off-brand basically bulk soda (in a giant like 3 liter container). The taste at the end of a sip is almost painful.
I've also lately started to dislike any juice that isn't orange, but I love seltzer water and soda. Maybe it's just the carbonation.
Speaking of juice, anybody ever try sparkling juice? It's super good, our school used to sell them at a dollar per can during lunch (the cans were like iced tea cans), and they were absolute heaven, especially the Dark Cherry flavour.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
I kicked the sugar water habit roughly 3 years ago and plain water is the only fluid I consume straight on a regular basis.
That said, I was never a fan of coffee. I hate the bitter taste of pure coffee and, unlike alcohol, could never find any flavored/sweetened variety that masked the taste of pure coffee enough to be enjoyable.
As for tea, my experience is limited to canned Nestea(like the lemon flavored) and the various varieties of bottled Lipton(the Citrus Green Tea is pretty good, but the Half & Half Tea and Lemonade was my favorite), and home made from generic tea bags(which I like strong, sweet, and either warm or refrigerated(but never iced) though the people make make tea around my house usually made it so weak that it barely colored the water and added so little sugar it barely registered as sweetened). Though, if my recent experience with drinking a can of Dr. Pepper(once my favorite Soda) for the first time in over 3 years is any indication, drinking some good tea might make me sick.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
I'm pretty sure one of the kinds of soda he drinks the most are diet. I don't know how he stands it.
I've tried sparkling apple juice, and it was pretty good, but not as good as sparkling cider. I used to really like tea of all kinds, usually hot, but one year my tastes changed and I can't drink my old favorites. Now whenever I have tea, it's either iced green with lots of sugar, or the sweet iced teas they sell places.
I never thought I could stand coffee, but I realized I probably just like it the way Aidan makes it, cause I had some of his and that was pretty good. I freakin love the smell of coffee though, it's one of my favorite smells.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
Even though I am from England, I have never tried tea. Mainly because my mother has stated that she never wanted us to try Tea since she didn't want us to be addicted to it, so I have no opinion on Tea.
Coffee on the other hand, I've only ever had once but I couldn't finish it due to it being wayyyyyyyy to hot for there to even be a taste for me. I burnt my tongue and couldn't drink anymore. I've never had coffee after that beyond sweet things that have the taste of coffee.
As for this new Sparkling Juice discussion, Mango juice is pretty ballin and you should all have it.

Neither. I have a weird inconvenient dislike for tea and coffee. If I could choose to like one drink, I would pick tea though, because it's more healthy than coffee, calming and has a lot more variety that doesn't make it less healthy.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
I adore nearly every heated beverage -- be it coffee, tea, or cocoa. I do like the former two iced on summer days as well.
I can drink coffee black, but I prefer it with sweeteners or at the very least a little soymilk. I'm not really picky with tea, either, but I tend to prefer green teas and herbal teas.

Re: Coffee vs. Tea.
Speaking of hot beverages in general, I was never a fan of cocoa, and I'd have to say that my all-time favorite hot beverage is chicken broth seasoned with Ms. Dash and flavored with melted cheese with the seasoning package from chicken flavored ramen being my favorite source for the broth. Though the broth from just about any flavor of ramen is pretty good. Can't say I'm too fond of store-bought broth(often too salty with little flavor) or homemade broth(often has too much fat from the meat that was cooked to form the broth left behind if not bits of overcooked meat).
