I didn't know AT&T existed anymore outside of history books.
Also, why would anyone use anything other than Gmail?

^Personally I use Outlook, so I can access my email from my start menu and not have to turn all cookies on in Firefox and then clear them all when I'm done because that's too much of a bother hahahaha... I also am not fond of Google (even though it's not like Microsoft is any better), though for some minor accounts I do use my Gmail to sign up because I had to make one for my phone.
I don't know about Yahoo in general, but this might be a step to specifically try to control bots on Tumblr, you know? Maybe a lot of them use those domains?

If they wanted to fight bots, they'd go after mainstream email accounts that take less than 5 minutes to create over something you have to go through your ISP to get.
Also triert for being someone that hates tumblr you sure do seem to be more active on it than anyone else i know.

We've all heard of console exclusives, but get ready for the exciting new world of ISP exclusive websites.

So? They're only blocking new (new is the keyword, current accounts are fine) accounts with competitor ISP emails, gmail isn't one of them. Anyone with a @att.net email is old as dirt and should stay off the internet anyway... The last thing I want to see in the morning is a crappy meme of someones cat that isn't even funny and makes an awkward attempt at being cute. /justmethings
They're still around, in some cases they're ADSL/ADSL+ packages are the only decent option...Jeffery Mewtamer wrote:I didn't know AT&T existed anymore outside of history books.

I use a different perspective of "old"... Old is when you become unable to grow or learn and nearly become illiterate. Plenty of people in there 20's and 30's that are old, plenty of people in there 70's that are quite young.

People that are more internet savvy aren't going to use AT&T, the amount of people affected by this on tumblr wouldn't really matter at all anyways.
This whole situation is otherwise rather bad either way, but google already started the "exclusives" **** with their google social media program and youtube. I figure if people didn't demand their head on a pike over that, we shouldn't be surprised by worse later.

I was trying to make a passive joke, but that's an acceptable response too
this situation as a whole affects a website I don't use with an internet provider that's only given me disappointment so that's the only reason I'm here

Re: AT&T Customers Unable To Log In To Yahoo/Tumblr Through AT&T Connected Emails
I thought more Internet savvy people avoided Tumblr and the like because that's where most of the people who only started using the Internet when smartphones took off go to make fools of themselves online.
Or do I just have an outdated understanding of what counts as Internet savvy in this modern world where even one's microwave and toaster have wi-fi?
