I am very pleased at another game, don't get me wrong but about the only major inspired things I've seen so far:

The GamePad acts as an overhead map and radar to track Pikmin movements in real time. Players can slide a finger across the touch screen to quickly switch between areas, giving greater flexibility in commanding multiple groups of Pikmin.

After completing a stage, the replay feature allows players the option to review their results using the GamePad and TV. Fast-forward, rewind or pause while assessing the previous mission to decide on other paths.

And the fact rock pikmin can break surfaces you otherwise couldn't.

Besides that it looks like just another Pikmin game. Is that enough to make me super excited yet? I'm not so sure.

I'm hoping for some new environments. Those images show me pond and forest. I've played through those twice. I'm sure that more interesting things will appear in the future though so I'll keep an open mind.

Fist off: The boss is called the Armored Mawdad, apparently. According to Pikipedia anyways.

I'm with AtomicBat environment wise. Maybe we can venture inside some human settlements. Maybe I can finally find out if humans are still on the planet! Plus I want some neat enemies like the Smokey Progg.

I just hope there's no day based time limit! That would suck. I never got into the series ages ago because of that thing in the first game! We rented it, I just spend 5 days making Pikmin. Then I realized there was a time limit. ):

Pikmin 2 doesn't have that time limit, thankfully. So this one shouldn't either.

I have never played Pikmin before, but I recently watched a livestream of it and it seems pretty fun. I'll probably buy this when I get the Wii U.

It's funny how they made an Anteater Bulborb. Pikmin are kind of like ants, after all!

Has anyone noticed the flying pikmin near the end of the trailer? I'm more interested in that than the rock pikmin XD

Watch the flying pikmin be enemies in which they grab one of your pikmin and hurl it down with such force that it explodes killing several others.

I've been long awaiting a Pikmin 3, and I have to say that this one looks really interesting. Rock pikmin? I assume they're obviously heavier than purple pikmin, which I hope they bring back. The Anteater Bulborb looks like it would be a bigger pain than Bulbears, but it's oddly cute. I also hope they got rid of the dang Waterwraith. I hope the flying pikmin are usable; they seem helpful.

The only thing about this game that taunts me is the fact that it's going to be on the Wii U >:(

From Nintendo's E3 website:

In addition to the five original types of Pikmin encountered in previous games, the new Rock Pikmin bring powerful new abilities and are able to crack hard outer shells of enemies and break through solid barriers.

So all previous colors will return and rock pikmin have more abilities than the destructive potential shown in the trailer, according to this.

I'm looking foreword to see what they're going to do with the characters. I'm hoping all four of them will all have their backstories and previous lives explained, like with Pikmin 2 through the nightly Emails.

i wanted to play 1 and 2 so much but we had a ps2..those were dark times i'm looking foward for this though

I'm so excited for this game! Some of those enemies look pretty fascinating. I wonder which old enemies will remain in the game, besides obvious ones like the Red Bulborb.
