skyrim

Post by Golden »

I've recently picked skyrim back up and fell in love all over again, i am currently a little over level 50 and im a battle mage (heavy armor, weapons plus spells) and have been enjoying it. in this topic just talk about recent encounters in the game or your character or maybe even anything interesting that happened recently (if you still play that is) also l, maybe ask for some help or advice and a more experienced player can help.

drem yol lok.

i might be able to help, though i'd like to mention i've never had the attention span to go thru skyrim further than level 30.

skyrim is one of my favorite games tbh. i love the vampire/werewolf dlc and i ALWAYS end up becoming a vampire and playing thru it cuz its so memorable to me. plus i just like going to the soul cairn. ive been thinking about picking it up and playing it again too tbh. im really curious what the price will be of the more HD skyrim they announced at e3 because i might pick it up. ive always liked modded skyrim but never had the hardware or motivation to pick up PC skyrim.
y'all...

i suggest playing a mage or archer or really anything you havent played as, it will make the game feel a lot fresher in general.

Golden, you haven't shared anything you found particularly interesting, do you have any cool experiences in Skyrim you'd like to share?

Things I found really interesting... I found it really weird and kinda scary that the Falmer have servants... In Blackreach is the only place I'm aware of. Nothing ever comes of it, you can't free them and it's never addressed. Finding those guys without any prior knowledge or even hints that they existed was freaking weird. I discovered that a long time ago, but it stuck with me.

I play the game a lot, it's my favorite game of all time, but not many things happen randomly that catch my attention. Discovering something I didn't know existed is always exciting, but not worth mentioning to anyone else. And if you need any help, I might be able to help, Golden.

Summary of the last time i played skyrim:

Steal from guard, get caught, pay off guard, steal money back, repeat.

so, its an interesting story you want, eh? AS AN OFFICIAL GOLDEN I AM OF COURSE GOING TO PROVIDE! i have alot of cool stuff i can share with you guys, but ill take it slow with one story at a time. ehem, now lets get to it;
once while playing i decided to make my goal to master destruction, it took ages of spam attacking with the weakest attack but i eventually reached level 100.As you may know, if you masterba magic skill tree such as restoration or conjuration you can get a special quest to unlock the best spells for that type of magic, (the quest is provided by the trainers at the college in winterhold) (im gonna have to finish this in a second post)

(cont.) and the quest given for destruction is rather interesting in itself, as you have you blast a.magic book at three specific locations with each of the elements you use, once done it transforms into a spell tome that will teach you, fire blast/storm (can't remember) and also unlock tge other two master level spells (blizzard and lightning storm) but the interesting part is not the spells (although they are cool) but the book itself, which starts off with one page and a riddle to find the first location once you fond this location put on pedestal and hit with magic then boom a new page is written out this will be done two more times, once completed it will read (third post to finish)

(final)"Seeking study, wanting, learning,
Recklessly aroused my rage!
My pupil you would be, or more?
Presume not of Shalidor,
You feeble, foolish mage!

Quickly dispatched, worthless weakling,
Though this tome I gladly claim.
A diamond in the rough, I find.
Shining gem from feeble mind.
Now die, and curse my name!"

quite an interesting passage eh?

Yeah, I remember coming across one of those tablets while I was running around doing a different quest. I had no idea what it was for, had to look it up. Is your favorite class mage? I was a mage on my first playthrough, but then I tried out one-handed weapons and thought that was really nice! Plus you can get the sneak bonus.

What major quest lines have you finished? I mean like the main quest, the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, etc. Which one is your favorite?

I refuse to play this game until I have a proper PC to inject as many weapon, dungeon, questline, and overhaul mods I can possibly find.

The furthest I got was on a pure mage I made because I wanted to go down the blue path for once, I say furthest because every other time I played as a sneaky bow elf instead.

I been addicted to Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Portable 2 lately but Skyrim is definitely one of my ol' time favorite games! When I do use mods I only gets mods that add on to it like expansion packs, not replace things. Right now I got a dark brother hood assassin who must only use hand axes for whatever reason. c:
