The Legend Of Zelda - Wind Waker RP (4/4 member spots taken)

Post by Tobi »

This is a private RP for a handful of Roleplayers. As the title suggests, the RP is, quite heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Although this is a private RP, feel free to read along, as we thought out this RP quite a bit before starting it. If by any chance, you’re interested in joining, we may have a slot open some time later.

Information: This RP takes place in an alternate universe, completely separate from the canon Zelda universe we know and love. In this alternate universe, many small changes are made, either for convenience, or creative license. The biggest difference, as you might have guessed, is that the legendary hero Link, is replaced with a band of diverse and unconventional characters, each with their own perks and backstories.

Plot: In a land blanketed by a sea of almost endless proportion, rested many bodies of land scattered throughout, some inhabited by people, some inhabited by other sentient creatures, and others, completely vacant, or ridden with vermin. As long as everyone could remember, there has always been peace among the many modest settlements.
However, a chilling, unsettling wind has been blowing up from the northwest, and a new race of aggressive, pig-like characters have been popping up out of nowhere, in seemingly random places. On top of that, news has slowly spread of kidnappings of young girls with pointed ears. Although life was still quite prosperous, a burdenous sense of worry lie in the back the back of everyone’s heads, with nobody in sight to stop the insidious cloud of terrible events.

Deviations: Here are the following differences that we have put in place, either out of creative license, convenience, or to just spice things up.

- Many of the islands and isles are doubled to quadrupled in size, and almost all of the inhabited islands have a much larger population, compared to the game.

- The Kokiri people inhabit The Forest Haven in this era, and work alongside the koroks to maintain the forest. However, many are unaware of their existence.

- The Zoras (and the fish that they eat) are still alive and well, and are distant cousins to the Rito Tribe. However, the vast majority of them keep to themselves, and live inside underwater caves with pockets of air, deep beneath the vacant isles scattered across the sea.

Character Sheet: This is just a formality. Don’t try and join until we are ready to open a new slot.

Rules:

- Do not post in this thread unless you’re a member (this should be obvious).

- Do ABSOLUTELY not post if your character is banned and/or you are banned.

- Put your out of character comments between two parentheses “(())”. However, try to refrain to most of the time to prevent the RP from getting derailed. We have a Skype group after all.

- Keep all non-quotations in the past tense (walked, talked, was, were).

Example: “That guy Beedle follows us everywhere.” Rory remarked, as he made his way up the slope.

- Do not take control of someone else’s character without their permission.

- Don’t be a Mary Sue. We’ve already approved of everyone’s sheets, so the rest is up to you to make sure your character has a balance of pros and cons to him or her.

- Wait for people to make their post. It’s not every day that everybody is online at the same time, so general a rule of thumb is to wait for someone who hasn’t posted in 6 posts. I know that’ll be hard to keep track of, so this rule will be laid back so long as someone doesn’t go without posting for a whole page just because SOME people didn’t want to wait for them.

- Keep your character consistent. Don’t have your character go and do something out of character, like say, if your pacifist character were to punch someone square in the nose. Slight deviation is okay sometimes, depending on the situation, and character development is also A-OK, and is in fact, highly encouraged, so long that it’s established, i.e: “I think that…”, “I feel as though…”, “I’m going to…!”, “It’s up to me to…”, and so on and so forth.

- Seriously, no "[character name] looks around." posts and such.

Rory (played by CasualCollision)
Spoiler:
Name: Rory
Age: 12
Gender: Boy
Race: Hylian Descendent
Weapon: Garden Hoe, Hero's Sword
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Brown
Clothes: Standard villager attire; obtains more protective clothing later down the line.
(Appearance) misc: He is slightly overweight, not enough to say he's fat, but enough to tell he isn't very fit. He is also far-sighted, and is in need of glasses. Unfortunately, Outset Island lacks a proper eye doctor.
Abilities: Nothing out of the ordinary. He is non-athletic, and only slightly more well-rounded than the average joe. He is however, very observant of his surroundings.
Personality: Rory, being a person that has spent his whole life on the island, never really liked being out of his comfort zone. That said, though he isn't the adventurous type, he isn't really a coward. He tries to be logical, although when matched with superior intellect, can get flustered, and ill tempered. He can be quite protestant when things go far from his way, but tries to be considerate of other people. The most peculiar thing about him, is his fascination of the Rito Tribe.
Backstory: Rory was (quite obviously) born and raised on Outset Island. Although commonly liked by the residents of the island, he grew up hitting it off with a girl named Elma. He lived with her and her father for as long as he could remember; his own parents being very busy people, living abroad. He gained a basic education from Sturgeon, who he looks up to.
Starting point: Rory and Elma's hangout (the lookout point).
Russ (played by JmTsHaW)

Race: Rito
Weapon: A small, old sword, barely used but still well worn, and a newer, sharper dagger
Eye Color: Brown
Appearance: a short, scrawny looking rito with perfectly groomed feathers. A more outward poking beak as oppose to the downward pointing beak of most males.
Abilities: Can fly for 30 minutes normally, or 10 minutes silently
Personality: Suave, cunning, and underhanded, but has a soft spot for adventure. And money. Would do anything for money, though is also very loyal, and wouldn't betray a friend or someone he owes a favor to.
Backstory: Always had a habit for sneaking around. Eventually got good enough to fly undetected for up to 10 minutes, though it takes much more effort for him than normal flying.
Starting Point: On the pirate ship. Shneaky ninja ;3

Side characters

Elma (played by CasualCollision)
Spoiler:
Name: Elma
Age: 13
Gender: Girl
Race: Hylian Descendent
Weapon: Hero's Sword, Sharp Machete
Hair Color: Brunette
Eye Color: Brown
Clothes: Villager's blouse and trousers, along with a pair of comfy boots.
(Appearance) misc: Has pointed ears, short hair (for a lady), and wears a small pair of ear rings.
Abilities: She is well versed in the use of a sword.
Personality: She can be quite insensitive at times, and has a bad habit of hitting people (mainly Rory) on the shoulder when she gets excited. She's very sentimental to those she's close to, and is by all means of the definition, extroverted.
Backstory: Elma has lived her whole life on Outset Island. Her mother suffered through complications when giving birth to her, and unfortunately, grew up never knowing her. When she was little, a shy boy named Rory came to live with her and her father, and have been close friends ever since. At ten years old, she took up a liking to sword fighting, and began casually training with swordsman Orca. She sometimes gets Rory to train with her, who only reluctantly agrees to it.
Starting point: Rory and Elma's hangout (the lookout point).
Banned characters (these characters might be referenced to or might be controlled temporarily to make the story fitting)

Lita (played by Yukki)
Spoiler:
Name: Lita
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Race: Rito
Weapon: She has a small knife tucked away into her pouch, and though she has a spear latched onto her back, she uses the knife first and the spear as a last resort in battle. Whenever the group finds bombs, she hoards them like treasure and is merciless when using them.
Hair Color: A dark brown, like most female Rito.
Eye Color: Deep Crimson, like most Rito.
Clothes: A maroon tunic, laced with intriguing and colorful designs. She has tan baggy shorts, and prefers her hair tied up into a very small ponytail. She has a very large mailbag slung around her waist and has a sheathed spear tied onto her back.
(Appearance) misc: See image above ^
Abilities: Because Lita already received a scale from Valoo, she now has the ability to fly. However, this requires both of her arms and therefore she cannot hold anything in her hands when flying. Because she is still young, she hasn't truly adapted to being airborne, so she can't hold up for too long.
Personality: Stubborn, cocky, arrogant, short-tempered, and your ***** in shining armor. Lita is a very hyperactive Rito and usually her ego gets the better of her. She talks smack and almost always speaks with sarcasm. She's quite adventurous and bold, always thirsty for exploration.
Backstory: She was raised by her mother, who was overprotective of Lita while her father went missing one day, last seen flying away toward the North of Dragon Roost Island. Lita had grown up with curiosity on how big the world is and decided to become a mailgirl, as it was the only excuse to get off the island and see the world. To this day, she is an apprentice and is under Quill's mentorship.
Starting point: Outset Island, after the Helmaroc King drops Tetra into the forest.
Reason for ban: Leaving in an immature and rule breaking manner.

On a peaceful collection of islands known as Outset, was a handful of modest wooden houses with straw roofs, scattered amidst the hilly terrain that composed the land. The houses stood against a large cliff of stone, which once connected to the neighboring uninhabited island, high above the sea. On the shore of these said islands was a dock on one end, and a watchtower on the other.
Although the dock was a vital apparatus for the people of the islands, they only needed the watchtower to spot incoming vessels from a distance. Because the few boats that came in and out of Outset were recurring visitors at rather consistent times, the watchtower was often left to the youth of Outset to hang out in; namely, a boy named Rory, and a girl named Elma.

In the early afternoon of one fateful day, Rory was off relaxing in the watchtower, hands behind his head, and enjoying the shade that the roomy, elevated box had to offer. He presumed that Elma went off to Orca’s place to do some more sword training.
Rolling his eyes, he often wondered on days like these, why she would rather stay inside and train with Orca, than enjoy the bright, breezy, summer afternoon that Outset was known for.

Sure, Rory quite enjoyed spending time with Orca’s polar opposite and brother, Sturgeon, but never did he even humor the thought of missing a nice day out for his lectures. It was quite evident, that Rory enjoyed the small things in life. Just as he was about to doze off, he began hearing steps being made up the ladder.

Before he even saw Elma emerge, Rory spoke with a cheerful yet relaxed. “Welcome back.”

“Hey Rory. Good thing you didn’t fall asleep before I came back.” Elma said with a smile, as she made her way into the loft. “Look what I got!” She exclaimed, her smile changing into a mischievous smirk, whilst reaching into her satchel. Before she even pulled it out entirely, Rory’s expression changed from relaxed to tense.

“Elma! You can’t have that! That’s Sturgeon’s!” Rory protested as she held out the gleaming telescope in front of him.

“Relax.” Elma calmly replied. “He said I could borrow it. It’s no biggie.”

Rory saw through her lie quite easily. “No way! He won’t let even me touch it!”

Clearly, Elma ignored him, as she was already peering through it at a flock of seagulls, whilst humming a tune.

“Fine, if you’re not going to listen to me, I’m outta here. I’m not gonna be there when Sturgeon catches you. I want nothing to do with this.” Rory concluded, as he began to make his way to the ladder.

“Wait, Rory, look! Some Rito people are at the mailbox!” Elma exclaimed.

“Yeah, like I’m falling for that.” Rory bitterly remarked.

“No! Really! Come look!” Elma hastily handed Rory the telescope in an awkward fashion.

"So I just verify the address and slide it in?" The shorter Rito asked, her voice tinted with impatience. She held a small paper letter in her white hands, her crimson eyes scanning over it while awaiting a response from the elder Rito, who was standing several feet away and his eyes were like a hawk, watching the young girl with authority.

"That's the basics, yes. Now you may as well try to make it quick; we have to make other deliveries on schedule. " The elder Rito calmly spoke, unmoving. The young female Rito hurriedly placed the letter in the red box, and nearly yelped in surprise as the red box began to bounce.

"De-e-e-e-e-elicous!"

"The heck?!" The girl nearly screamed, falling down on her rear. This caused some villagers to look in their direction and the elder Rito chuckled quietly. This infuriated the girl.

Very much.

Righting herself, she snorted and brushed off her tunic, which was dusted in soil.

"Alright, alright, can we go.." She looked up quizzically, as the humble noise of the island died down. She glanced at her mentor, who was having a staring contest with the sky. Immediately he began to panic silently, and in turn the girl followed his gaze towards the halcyon sky to witness a giant dark bird flying through the air, holding onto something in it's talons.

Meanwhile, Rory had since given in to the temptation of looking through the telescope. His dorkish grin faded into a concerned look on his face. Before Elma had the chance of commenting on how creepy he was formerly acting, Rory blurted out “What’re they doing? One of them looks to be having an internal panic attack, and the other is just staring off into the distance.”

“They’ve probably noticed you peeping, you du-” Elma’s snarky remark was cut short as her glance caught the large, unidentifiable bird. Before Rory could react, she snatched the telescope right out of his grasp, and looked up at the sky. It didn’t take long before Rory too, had his attention to where everyone else had theirs.

And then, out of seemingly nowhere, spheres of lead started hurtling in the bird’s direction. Elma was already on the scene, as Rory almost opened his mouth to direct her view to the enormous pirate ship that had made its way close to shore somehow without anyone noticing.

It was at this point that both Rory and Elma’s jaws were on the floor. If Elma were able to speak at that moment, she probably would have mentioned seeing an unconscious girl being held by the bird’s gigantic talons.

As the bird soared through the air, seemingly holding something in his talon, the pirates were firing cannonballs rapidly towards the bird in an attempt to shoot it out of the air. They seemed to be after whatever the bird was holding.

Despite the lack of aim, the bird was eventually hit by one of the cannonballs. The pirates cheered, until they saw that the bird straight up dropped, what appears to be a blonde girl, above Outset Island. The blonde girl fell straight into the forest of the island, across the bridge.

Lita and Quill had witnessed the entire show, and by now the duo were speechless. Several natives of the island began to panic, and as they did, Quill hurried over in an attempt to calm them down. However, Lita was currently watching the distant Pirate Ship, unmoved, before snapping back to reality.

"What in the name of Valoo was that?!" Lita was close to pulling her hair out as she sputtered, "Can I rename this island to Oddset?"

Aware of her terrible joke, she cleared her throat and stood with her pride. She was curious on what the beast had dropped before flying away in attempt to escape, and began to scan the island of a road up that mountain. Confident, Lita planned to slip past Quill and figure out what the bird had tried to defend. With her eyes, she traced the dirt road that skirted the village houses, across the bridge, and her gaze found a watchtower in the distance. Only taking a moment to stare, she sent her line of view back to the road that slowly ascended the mountain.

Figuring out her route, she turned around to see Quill distracted. Having her perfect getaway already paved out for her, she broke out in a small jog, following the trail.

While Rory wasted his time standing there, his mind in a sort of trance to process all that had happened, Elma quickly dashed to the ladder, and began to make her way down. By the time Rory had snapped out of it, Elma was already all the way down, and across the walkway.

“Hey! Wait up! Where do you think you’re going?!” Rory called out.

“I’m going to go get my things, we can’t just stand by and do nothing! She might be alive still!” Elma responded. Her mind completely slipped the fact that Rory might not have seen her descend into the forest.

“W-What…? She can’t be serious…” Rory muttered before starting down the ladder himself. Elma looked back to see if Rory was following or not. Just as fate decided, not looking where she was running, she violently collided with the Rito girl from beside, causing both of them to tumble over.

Lita felt a force knock her down onto the dirt, making this a second time she got up close and personal with the earth today. Furious that someone had knocked her down, and in turn interrupted her prideful fantasy, she whipped around to see a brunette human girl, also on the ground. Rudely, Lita stood up and barked,

"What's your problem, huh?!? Can't you walk in a straight line, ya clutz?"

Rory stood from a distance, as he witnessed her friend get berated by the young Rito. Elma was still recovering from the blow, and only managed to hear the last quarter of the feathered mistress' harsh bellowing.

"Yeah, ugh, sorry about that. I needed to know what was up, so I tried to get ready to go to the forest as fast as I could." She replied as she tried to get back on her feet. She looked up to see what she had hit, only to see that it was one of the Rito that they had eavesdropped on earlier. Thinking of Rory's fascination of the creatures, she smirked.

Lita, blinded by her ignorance, snorted in annoyance.
"Geez, this island is full of morons!" Rolling her eyes, she kicked the dirt, spun around, and continued her trek at a faster pace. She was fed up with this island and wanted to get off of it already. But at the same time, she was on her own little mission.

Elma was a little taken aback by her insults, but tried to think it over in her perspective. Even then, she couldn't help thinking that what she said was uncalled for, despite her clumsy mistake.

"And where do you think you're going?!" Elma called out to her. Without noticing, Rory had finally caught up, now that the Rito girl was at a safe distance away from Elma.

"She must be a handful back at her place." Rory commented, his head tilted.

"None of your business!" Lita snapped back, without turning her head or disrupting her pace. But it was obvious, as she followed the dirt road up the mountain. All the while, she kicked the dirt, scheming of a way to get back at that girl and rambling some very random curses.

Elsewhere, Quill had finally calmed down the family of three that were panicking beyond belief. The parents were now relaxed, but their child seemed hysterical. Leaving the child to the guardians, Quill turned around and where Lita should have been was air. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't heard one of her sarcastic remarks in minutes.

"Oh dear.." Quill facepalmed at his carelessness for letting Lita out of his sight. He prayed that she wasn't getting into trouble. And with that prayer sent, he began to look for Lita among the crowds of villagers. He knew very well what she was capable of getting into when she isnt monitored every few seconds.

Elma sighed solemnly. Once realizing that it was pointless to try to reason with her, she took off in the other direction, to Orca and Sturgeon’s abode.
“Rory, look after the Rito girl and make sure she doesn’t get herself into any trouble!” She called out, not caring if she were to overhear her.

Rory scratched his head nervously. Looking in the direction that the young feathered lady ran off in, he thought to himself. “Why do I have to be the one to follow after her…?”
Rory tilted his head upwards, gazing at the long, winding inclination that lead to the bridge above.

Just as Rory was about to jog to keep up with the Rito girl, he spotted a garden hoe sitting on a villager’s porch. With no one around, he approached the tool, and cautiously grabbed it. He prayed that nobody was around to see him committing the obvious theft.
“I’ll be sure to bring this back… I hope.”

Rory, nervous about getting caught, walked inconspicuously away from the porch, before changing to a sprint up to the hot-headed Rito.

Lita, already halfway up the mountain, had to put a halt in her tracks. A wall of thin trees blocked her from progressing, and a sign was displayed in front of her. It read:

__________________________________
-------------DANGER-------------------------
----BRIDGE REPAIRS INCOMPLETE------
----------DO NOT PROCEED---------------
_________________________________
--
--
--

Lita rolled her eyes. "Ah, this is why I like wings.."

Within a few seconds, Lita was already hurrying up the trail. The sign, however, was torn apart and had seen its last few moments as being kicked in by Lita's feet while the trees were left untouched. She slowly came up to the peak of the mountain, which was surprisingly flat. The winds brushed past her face as she took in the view of Outset Island from her position. The town was very small from this height, but Lita wanted to make a remark on how this was a joke compared to Dragon Roost Island. She looked around and spotted the "bridge", if she could call it that. It swung gently and unsteadily in the breeze, several wooden planks missing from its structure and it held on for life by a thin rope, which looked pretty loose.

Stepping up closer to the ledge, Lita could see rock peaks that jutted out of the water, conveniently located directly under the bridge and a pretty place to have your body impaled if you were to fall.

Measuring the distance with her eyes, she prepared herself for a short trek in the air. The forest was beyond this bridge, and Lita's curiosity wasn't going to go unfed.

Rory was still quite far behind. Upon approaching the set of trees blocking the path, he glanced at the recently severed sign. He had a good guess as to who did that. Looking back up at the set of long, slim, birch trees, and groaned irritably. He began to try to squeeze himself through the obstruction, pushing them apart as best as he could. Halfway through, his leg got caught between the trunks, causing him to fall over the other side. His hair was now full of twigs and leaves, and his whole front torso was given a generous amount of dirt. He groaned irritably once more, as he got up to pick up the recently stolen harden hoe. He decided to worry about cleaning himself up later, as he continued up the steep dirt path.

Meanwhile, Elma had made her way to Orca and Sturgeon’s place. Sturgeon was on the balcony as usual shaking his head in disbelief. Orca was easy to spot among the bickering crowd, silently observing the ruckus. She rushed over to him and poked him on the shoulder. As he turned around, Elma motioned over to his and his brother’s house, before jogging over to the entrance.

As Orca followed behind, Elma had already made herself at home inside the training ground.
“Where is Rory?” Orca asked, not needing to have explained to him what occurred outside.

“I told him to wait at the watchtower while I went to get you.” She lied, knowing full well that she needed to optimize her chances of getting the sword from him. “I know this might be a lot to ask, but I need to borrow the sword that you always let me train with.”

Orca, who indeed had the sword in his possession, placed his index finger under his lips thoughtfully. “I take it that you want to go to the forest to investigate. Does your father know anything about this?”

“No, he does not.”

“Good.” Orca replied, handing the short yet sharp blade to Elma. “Bring Rory with you, and watch your step when crossing the bridge. You’ve learned a lot these past few years, and I’m certain you can take on anything with the right friends.” Elma looked up at him with a touching smile. Just as she was about to thank him, Orca added with a snicker, “Even if your friend happens to be wimpiest urchin I’ve even laid eyes on!” They both broke into a quick laughter to break the sappiness of the moment.

Lita, halfway across the gap, was beginning to grow tired. The constant force of the wind was pushing her lightweight body back, not to mention that she would have to give her wings a rest very soon. Half flying and half flailing, she struggled to keep up her pace. Besides, she didn't plan on dying! The great and grand Lita, she is not to die by a fall! At least she didn't take that bad-looking bridge, which would have secured a death for her. Who made it, anyway?!

A few more flaps and she let her feet brush the tall grass of the forest entrance. She stifled her panting, hoping to appear more majestic and awesome. Alright! She found herself staring into the dark forest beyond and let her feet and awesome sense of direction guide her.

10 seconds later...

"Okay, don't panic, I'm just a little lost, that's all!" Lita scanned her vicinities, the trees seeming to be endless.

Rory, upon making it up to the bridge, saw that he had lost the Rito. Looking down below the bridge, he could only hope that she didn’t plummet down and get impaled by one of the few jagged rocks protruding from the sea. With many of the bridge’s planks loose or fallen out entirely, he was more than reluctant to cross it. Upon taking a single step on one of the boards, an uncannily loud creak was made.

Scratching his twig and leaf ridden hair nervously, he wasn’t quite sure what to do. He was far from keen to risk his life just to find one or two girls dead as a doornail.

Just as Rory was about to turn back, Elma called out.
“Rory! I’m almost there!” Footsteps echoed.

Rory groaned once again. He was beginning to hate this little adventure.

Lita looked around. Sighing when nothing came to mind for her grand escape, she heard rustling nearby. Being the moron she was 120% of the time, she drew her spear from her back and pointed it towards the sound, where a bush was.

"Show your face, you demon-monster-thing!" She barked, her eyes glaring and hoping that somehow, somewhere, she was being watched by an audience. When the noise subsided, a small creature not hopped, but rolled its way out of the leafy mass. It could be described as a black sphere, with orange thorns coating its body. It's one eye freakishly stared at Lita, seeming to stare into her soul. Though, it looked harmless enough. It didn't move since, making the situation kind of awkward for the humanoid bird.

It took a moment before Lita shuffled her arms to poke at it with the tip of her spear. It reacted by leaping up and attaching itself onto her head, adding a ton of weight onto her body. Lita squirmed and let out a shriek, and began panicking.

"EEEEEK! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" As much as she flailed, it hung on emotionless. Nearby seagulls grew startled and flew away from the sudden noise, as well as any small animal that was nearby.

Further into the forest, a band of thin, grey, pig-like creatures had just finished setting up camp. Amidst the center was a newly lit campfire, and on the edges, were nap sacks, as well as straws of hay for some reason. Upon hearing shrieking in the distance, they squinted menacingly. One of them, using expressive hand signals, ordered a trio to investigate.

“No! I refuse!” Rory complained as Elma gave him a soft push from behind.
“Come on! It’s not THAT unstable!” Elma replied with a smile. “If it makes you feel better, I used it not too long ago! See? I swung at a rope about a week ago.” She pointed to a severed rope, a few several yards away.

“How in the world is that supposed to encourage me?!” Rory frantically replied with a crack in his voice.
“Aw fine, I’ll cross it!” She pushed Rory out away and began her stride across the creaky bridge. “The trick to it is to keep your hands firmly on the rope and look foreword. It’s not so bad!” A few steps, and a jump or two later, she made it across before she even knew it.

“Now, it’s your turn!” Elma tauntingly called, before disappearing into the forest.
Rory did a long, slow, painful face-palm. “Great, now I have 3 girls’ lives on the line…” He selfishly thought.

"GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF!" One of Lita's pale, feathered arms had finally yet unintentionally smacked the poor creature in the eyes and it bounced off into the tall grass, dizzy from the ride. Lita, being as loud as she was, didn't even notice this and continued to cause a racket. Blindly, she raced in circles, unaware that she was slowly advancing to a nearby tree. It only took a few seconds before she had smacked herself against the bark, stunning the girl.

The trio of pig like creatures reached the source of the screaming and yelling after brushing through several branches, only to find a Rito girl on the ground, dazed. The group looked at each other bitterly, as if expecting to find something different. Growling, they unsheathed what looked to be dull, finely carved sticks, and pointed them at the Rito girl.

At entrance of the forest, Elma examined her surroundings. It had been awhile since anybody had bothered to come here, so the dirt trail had long since been overgrown back into its natural state.
“I could’ve sworn I heard someone shrieking… But there’s no way there can be anything dangerous here, right?” She pondered, whilst staring down at a black, fuzzy ball, before kicking it away.

“Elma!” Rory called from behind, reaching the forest. “Are you trying to get ourselves killed?!”
“Hush.”
“No! This has gone-”
“I said, hush.” Elma responded sternly, listening out for any more screams.
