Spoiler:
Also, would you guys mind if I did add users who don't come here a lot of the time but are well known in general? I mean, if we do get something like 30 people, I'd probably finish it off with the mod team, but we could go as high as 48 if we added some actual users.
Suggest some people you'd like to see though guys.
The only problem with this is that if they win, it's be kinda crappy since they're not even around anymore.

I keep my suggestion on the table, mostly because he asked me to X3

My only thoughts on suggestions are Mezzo, Mayo aka SapphireChao, and MasterChao aka Koko.
I personally want to see Mamkute take it home, as he is the best supplanter I could have asked for.

Re: Hunger Games: CI Edition.
Ive already simulated my own version.
Mamkute won.
A second time, Blackluigi won (Though I added him and several other users because there weren't enough to fill the slots.)
A third time, Mamkute snagged the winner slot again.
EDIT
Sixth and Ninth times had Mamkute win o-o

Mamkute is thorough, passionate, and highly skilled. We must embrace our defeat.
Mostly because he'd patiently wait while half of us fight over a rock or something.

I'm rooting for Ivo if I don't win. After that it better be Batty

As for the suggestions, I'd rather have 24 active users and then we can go into having more people. As for Triert, I added him as well since he technically wanted to be in it but can't say so.

Crazo, Mamkute, Batty, and Ivo certainly strike me as some pretty steep competition as far as knowledge and intelligence are concerned(and real-life wise, the only thing I have going for me in a physical fight is raw mass, which really is only good for holding someone down who isn't strong enough to throw me off).
Hopefully the pseudo random number generator will shine favorably upon me.

^ Actually, the system seems to be totally random. It has no stats system asides from an invisible disease, injury, hydration, and item counter, and the events don't piece up together well.

Re: Hunger Games: CI Edition.
We could try an attempt an actual Hunger Games esque thread, possibly having things like stats, weapons, food and water and stuff like that be part of the game, and if someone wants someone to be killed they'd have to PM me (I guess I'll stay out of the game and be the thing that moves the game along) and through that I'd contact the person who is about to be killed and from there we could have the stats decide how people will die. (Like, if the murdered had a high fighting skill but was using a gun they may be at a disadvantage, and if the victim had a high dexterity or something, they could avoid bullets, try to run away or fight in general)Jeffery Mewtamer wrote:Crazo, Mamkute, Batty, and Ivo certainly strike me as some pretty steep competition as far as knowledge and intelligence are concerned(and real-life wise, the only thing I have going for me in a physical fight is raw mass, which really is only good for holding someone down who isn't strong enough to throw me off).

If I worked on it, we could probably do a very interesting thread in which things like that are put into play instead of just being random.
Although, the murders would probably still be random, I guess we could hide skills from the rest of the players and they'd have to just try their luck.
If you guys would be up for that after this, or in general. I'll be down with doing it. I'd need some time to think everything up though, and possibly with some help for other users to make it work.

I got this.
And thank you for the compliments Crazo and Jeffery, but it seems my main trait that I have going for me from the trial runs is a deep emotional bond with a random system that no one could ever destroy.

If I live longer than Mamkute, I just want this song to play on the site until Hunger Games 2: Slam Jam-a-Thon

Re: Hunger Games: CI Edition.
Considering how hard it is to create a true Random Number Generator, if the only input for the Hunger Games simulator is the inputted list of players, it wouldn't be too surprising for the RNG to have bias towards a particular player if ran multiple times with the same input, especially if the player list somehow affects the RNG's seed value. In fact, it's a fairly common test scenario for a programmer to seed an RNG with 0 or some other innocuous number so it always produces the same string of values to ensure that the code that makes use of the RNG is responding properly to the RNG's output.
Also, the idea of running a table top RPG via forum posts sounds interesting, though it might be easier to use a pre-existing Table top game as a basis than trying to create from scratch.

Re: Hunger Games: CI Edition.
I kinda wish there were a Hunger Games generator of sorts that allows for a kind of balanced stat system, where everyone ends up roughly even in total, but has their own unique advantages. It would be like some kind of value based system, where particular body types and basic stats would have pro and con factors, requiring everyone have the same total, thus compensating where needed. This would create advantages during certain encounters, but not all encounters. It definitely would take some ingenuity.
An actual tabletop model would be hard to apply to a forum thread, especially if our activity patterns fluctuated. We'd need some kind of autopilot and time schedule, so we'd know when we can choose to act before our character just automatically does something.

Yeah, maybe tabletop through forum games would be a lil too difficult. Still, the idea of a tabletop Hunger Games game still stands

Please. If we were ever placed in a Battle Royale situation, we all know I'd win. Right?
