THAT WAS AWESOME! I love how Discord reformed after he realized he lost a friend in Fluttershy after not doing what he was supposed to do, but also that he said Friendship is Magic at the end. Hopefully, We'll see him as a recurring character in future episodes. Also, this is the 3rd time in the season where they used the Wilhelm Scream.

Also, I noted a new pony of some sort. I forgot her name, but..
it was a baby Alicorn I have never seen before. She was pink like Cadance, maybe the child of Shining Armor and Candance? It was a princess plush that would talk if you squeezed some place on her. I can't seem to find anything on this pony, anyone know it?

I just keep imagining the mane six speaking in japanese and it's pretty goddamn funny.

I pirated it recently, but only got to the fan animation part before feeling guilty about it. But then I've been hearing some pretty negative things about it, and now all that guilt has faded away. So far, the documentary portrays all fans of FiM almost to an obnoxious level, and they haven't even shown any of the good scenes from the show. So far the clips that they've picked out are what you'd expect from any generic cash-in girl's show. It just thickens the stereotype that all fans are just watching it ironically, as a fad, or just have poor taste, which isn't the case at all.

EDIT 1: They ****ing gave tombstone subtitles when he hardly has an accent. What the **** docu.

EDIT 2: They didn't give a freaking fan with a thick Irish accent with high non-rhoticity subtitles, but they gave Tombstone one, a guy with an almost American accent. I'm sorry if this sounds like nit-picking, but WHA?

EDIT 3: Well, at least they had the decency to show clips of Lesson Zero.

EDIT 4: UGH! This documentary just ADORES using trance and dubstep. e_e

EDIT 5: This is really starting to give me a migraine now. For the past hour it's just been mostly justifying their love for the show by expressing their other norms, and the minor diversities of the fandom. The only good parts are just the animated parts, and they're so insignificant. I want to actually see some EXPOSITION OF THE SHOW. Not to mention actually touch on the fans that're not closetted nor bat**** extroverted.

EDIT 6: The past 20 minutes has just been about fans participating in conventions, and interviewing renowned people and say nice things about the fandom. Kill me.

EDIT 7: Okay, I'm going to admit, the donation bit where fans are donating to children with illnesses is giving me feels.

God, do I really even need to write a review on this? I really, really didn't like this documentary. I found it very obnoxious, repetitive, didn't learn anything from it, and wouldn't really change how a person would look at the fandom other than that a handful do good causes. I'm so glad I didn't pay for this thing.

It actually isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I thought there would be ass loads more circlejerking than there really was. I'm not saying it was good, I still think it's really stupid how one silly little fandom gets a whole convention, let alone a goddamn documentary. But all-in-all, it could've been a lot worse.

Oh who am I kidding besides the stories of a couple people (I sympathized with the dude with Aspergers) it was really, really terrible.

From the minute they announced it, I wanted to shut it down. Call me "That Guy," but I honestly wanted it to die. I haven't watched it yet, and I doubt I will, but I haven't heard a single person say anything positive about it. Its exactly this: A video about an internet fandom about a TV show. The end. There was no need to blow it out of proportion. There are, and always will be fandoms exactly like the pony fandom, with fans that don't necessarily fit the demographic of its target audience.

As for the Japanese dub: if my vision ever recovers enough, I want to what the Japanese dub subbed in English. Though, to be honest, MLP:FiM has always given me a I cannot believe this is not Japanese vibe. Seriously, except for the lack of a monster of the week and no transformation scenes, FiM hits nearly every trope common in the Mahou Shoujo genre of anime, and I rank it with some of the best written of the genre.

So anyone know who is doing the Japanese voices for the Mane six, spike, and the princesses?

Ballad of the Brony IS a much superior documentary, which is sad because the thing had little to no budget, while Bronies: The Unexpected Fans of My Little Pony had a budget of $100,000 made by donations.

About that last episode. They need to have an intervention for Spike. That gem thing is getting out of hand.
