well guys I could help with the entire Metroid series ... all I would have to do is post one single link...

http://metroid.retropixel.net/ and there's the link

choose a metroid game and then select an option about that game (mainly the maps are your better option for item collection) and just refer back to the page every so often to make sure you are on track.

Sonicboom... hope this lessens the trouble for ya.

Yeah, Metroid Recon is definitely a good site to use. I used it back when I used to play Metroid all the time.

Also, you can read the Metroid E-Mangas there. I do recommend giving them a go, they explain the backstory! Also, Ridley gets an actual character. It's pretty top!

Late, but hooray for being official!

You sure are competitive, eh?

Heh, I'm fine as long as I complete the game. Item collection tends to come afterward, if I can be bothered.

But in Corruption, you pretty much HAVE to get as many Energy Tanks as possible... for the endgame.

Pretty much, but I did manage with what I'd collected. Exploration is fun, and collecting items is rewarding not just for the powerups but the amazing sights, too. The Metroid series is full of fantastic eye candy.

You get better and better sights as you power up. Especially the Space Jump/Screw Attack combo. You get higher with the Space Jump, and you get farther with the Screw Attack (which, incidentally, turns BLUE in Hypermode). Up on that ledge in the Phendrana Shorelines... Beautiful. And as you head down to Phaaze... you see how blue it is. And I love it.

If anyone here actually has the Metroid Prime Trilogy game for the Wii, please share friend codes. They have those dick friend vouchers that are the cause of my not being able to buy things I want to buy, since only I seem to have MPT.

And, the Screw Attack is damned awesome. Making enemies that were problems before explode is just... satisfying as hell.

I like the view from Elysia, Tallon Overworld, Phaaze, aaaagh. There's no way in hell I could name 'em all.

But, there's also another question. It's been years since a Metroid game. Nintendo went very quiet regarding Metroid after the mixed reception Other M was given.

...What's the future of the franchise? Despite how I think Other M was a fantastic game, I think we need something akin to another Prime. Not another Prime itself, but we need a franchise-moving game like what Prime did to Metroid before. Basically...

Nintendo should totally give the series back to Retro Studios.

It took something from the most controversial Metroid game for you to come here?

Well... I'm not surprised at that.

I'm glad you're not here to troll us.

I've gotta play through M:OM again to see if I can find that scene where she's just touching... I forgot where.

So Loudclaw is gone, but I figured no-one's actually mentioned, soooo.

After E3 this year, Nintendo stated that they were looking into the future of both types of game in the franchise; both 3D FP games, and side-scrolling classic Metroidvanias.

Are we gonna get a new Metroid anytime soon? Probably not. Will we see an announcement or two in a couple of years? Possibly!

It's looking exciting~
