Forum Moderators: Users that concentrate on the day to day running of the forum, ensure things are neat and tidy and put out any fires. Right now the forums are not too active so there is no trouble. As the site gets update and Sega hint more towards Chao features in games, this will rise.
Currently: Blade, Moonsoul, Fox Boy, Maple, Mamkute. Blade and moonsoul are less active as they have things going on in their own lives, but are still at hand to help out with the forums. This team will be shifted around a bit and will also be looking for someone (or two) to lead this team. Currently this is Blades job but depending on whether he wants to continue and what options we have this may change.
Chao Expert Team: I have placed Mamkute in charge of forming this team. I am looking for him and Crazo3077 to lead this team, and it quite an important team for what I want to achieve with the site. Although the forums are not that active, I think the Chao sections and research are flourishing quite well. This is helped greatly with the efforts of DarkyBenji's Chao World Extended mod, and other members such as Roaxes, ChaoGardenBuster and Rinku consistently keeping up discord chat, tumblr pages, google plus pages, etc with lots of fan content.
For this Chao Expert Team I would like to have the knowledgeable Chao Breeders be invovled to
a) Help new members instantly see recognised experienced Chao raisers in the help forum.
b) Ensure the main website is up to date with Chao information and not contradictory.
Note that all these staff groups with have unique rank bars, and furthermore I am working on profile "badges" for specific tasks. For example "Dreamcast Expert", "Gamecube Expert", "Hacking Expert", etc. This is not limited to staff members but will also include simpler badges for anyone such as "Dreamcast Chao Raiser" for example.
There will also be badge for the next few teams.
Chao Island Artwork Team: Much needed are some confident, able users who can create images and logos for the website and forums. This will include the badges mentioned above, but not limited to ranks, emoticons, website graphics, banners for events (such as Race Championships or the Anniversary). Also for any users active on DeviantArt it will be good to ensure the DeviantArt group is updated and used in conjunction with the forum. Kind of merges to the next part:
Chao Island Social Team: Responsible for ensuring the Chao Island "brand" so to speak is able to merge nicely with the forums and website. For example, youtube channel (being worked on), DeviantArt, Tumblr pages, Steam, any users that stream on Twitch, Facebook pages etc. Hopefully we can have as many communities working together as possible and feature links to these on the home page of the website. The Chao community is very niche and I would like to promote as much Chao socialness as possible!
Now as you can see I cannot control everything so these teams will be lead by an individual or two that I can be in contact with regularly for any problems or suggested changes. This is a big change and I'd like to begin doing this now while the forum is going slow - than wait until activity picks up (which it definitely will) and it will be chaos to organise.
If you ever look at Chao Island and think "wow, this site could be so much better for what it is" - well here's your chance to make a difference! Any feedback or critique is also welcome.
