That aside, though, I agree. B2/W2 are basically the "third games" of their generation, in the form of sequels, but the other third games are not sequels. B2/W2 had a completely new story that took place after the original Black/White. They are a new experience.
The other third games did have some new content, but still followed the same general plot as the original two versions from what I've come to understand. It's basically like an upgrade of sorts to the original versions, or like if you had to buy a separate copy of a game full-price in order to play DLC. That's why B2/W2 are the only third versions I bothered to get...
