neutral chao forum theme saturation

alright so
i dunno if it bothers me because i work with colors all the goddamn time since i'm an ""artiste""

am i the only one who thinks the neutral chao forum theme colors are horrendously saturated
like, that weird rich sky blue color isn't very pleasant on the eyes and i think the colors could use some desaturation/muting/whatever

idk about the dark theme since i never use it, but the neutral chao theme i run into occasionally when my login session expires and i get a brief glimpse of eye blinding rich blue

Agreed. I use the Hero theme simply because the Neutral theme has too much saturation and the Dark theme has too much contrast.

I have a mentality of "the more saturation, the better" so I'm cool with it as is.

The only time it's jarring is when people use saturated text colors that don't go with the theme and are hard to read.

i started using the hero theme after the christmas theme disappeared, and it's the only theme that doesn't hurt my eyes. the dark theme is okay but not all the time, it's good when looking at CI in the dark i suppose.

For me, the Chao theme's fine, but I agree with the muted colors idea.

As for the different themes, I hate the Hero because it makes the banner look...sissylike, and I hate the Dark because it's a bit too evil for me. So, I'll just stay with these colors.

The main site is a lot better in my opinion. The main light blue there isn't as bright as the one on the forum. I really think the biggest problem with the color on the forum is the aqua blue background.

that's cool and all, i love blue, it's a great color, but honestly there's a point where the saturation is a bit much
like, imo pastels might work better and just generally suit the idea of chao a lot better than some rich blue anyways??

like the first palette is great and all, especially as a color palette for like idk, digital drawing/painting, but not really as something to look at everyday?? this isn't like a personal tumblr theme where you don't really have to care too much cuz it's your blog, but this is a forum that people look at so often

Or, why not have some of the guys in the art dept whip up some quick themes?

There are browser add-ons for it. eboy's Stylish is one of them, but I prefer Stylebot. I had a pretty sweet neon theme featuring 100% Comic Sans there for a while.

So, yeah. Some people that know basic CSS and some artists could team up and make some themes. Perhaps the best of them could become official themes.
