I honestly would love a game that takes aspects from a bunch of different Sonic games I like and roll them into one. For example, I'd really like to see levels and gameplay that are more reminiscent of the Adventure games, hub worlds like in SADX/06/Unleashed but also with a separate SA2B-styled level select, side missions like in 06, Emblems or other collectables like the Adventure era games, a really good 2P mode like the one in SA2B, and of course the Chao Garden.

One other thing that Sega has been really bad with for the past 15 years that I wish they would do better is just including more characters from the franchise that we haven't seen in a while. Part of what I really liked about games like the Adventure games, Heroes, and 06 is that they all had such large casts of playable characters, with new characters being added in each game. However, from Unleashed onward, Sega hasn't really strayed away from just having Sonic as the solo playable character (or if there is another playable character, it's usually Sonic again), and they also haven't really included any of the other side cast in the story in many other games afterward either outside of the main crew. A big part of why I like the Sonic franchise and it's games, cartoons, and comics is it's big cast of likable characters, so it's always sad to me to see none of them ever being used. They've gotten better in stuff like Forces, Team Sonic Racing (albeit without Charmy, Espio, and Cream), and the IDW comics (even though Sega still won't let a lot of characters be included in IDW including Team Hooligan, which brings me great sadness), and they've also been allowing IDW characters to transition over to the games which is cool. However, I would still love to see a game that included all of the main cast from the games, the new characters from IDW, as well as some more obscure characters who could be reintroduced.

(Sorry about that long paragraph, I just really like obscure Sonic characters :3)

Seriously though, i'd love to have another Mean Bean Machine feature. Gotta play my Puyo Puyo when i'm not playing my Puyo Puyo.
Chao Garden would be cool too, though. Like, what if there were different species of Chao that you could breed together to make different color and species, like a dog or cat breeding game, but Chao?

Well, unless it was blind playable, I wouldn't be able to play it, and while there are things that can be done for color blindness and reduced visual acuity, I can't imagine making an action-oriented game like Sonic fully blind playable. A blind playable Chao Raising game maybe, but not a blind playable high-speed platformer.

That said, some things I'd love to play if retinal regeneration, bionic eyes, or brain-machine interfaces to the visual cortex ever get advanced enough in my life:

An Adventure-style game, but instead of Adventure fields and action stages being distinct locales, everything is one big, interconnected world(think the original Jak and Daxter or Zelda: Ocarina of Time) and instead of each level having a number of standardized missions for specific characters, each area has a number of objectives, some designed with specific characters in mind, but which can be attempted with any character(and perhaps even achievements for completing missions with characters other than the intended one or with all characters)(Think games like Mario 64/SUnshine, Banjo-Kazooie, or Jak and Daxter, but if there where multiple playable characters with distinct abilities).

Sonic and Shadow would have a play-style that focuses on their high speed, with SOnic's having more acrobatics and parkour and Shdow's featuring his Chaos powers.

Tails and Rouge would both have flight capabilities and would utilize a number of gadgets(Tails using his own inventions, Rouge using government issued spy gear) with Tails occassionally Jumping in the Cyclone or Tornado for frontal assualts or piloting drones for infiltration/sabotage missions and Rouge occasionally going full stealth.

Knuckles and Amy would both be brawlers, Knuckles mainly using his fists coupled with some earth and fire elemental attacks and Amy more of a melee weapon fighter(Her Piko Piko Hammer being her default, but picking up other weapons such as a bo staff that sacrifices raw power for greater reach and faster strikes or a Mace(club-type, not flail-type) That's all about packing as much punch into every blow).

Omega would be a ranged fighter living upto the "No kill like overkill" slogan.

Espio would combine speed and Stealth, somewhat plaing like a hybrid of Sonic and Rouge.

Vector would be another brawler with some sound-based and bite attacks in the mix.

Charmy would be a high-speed aerial combatant with greater speed and endurance than any other flier, but somewhat lacking in raw power though perhaps with a sting attack that can incapacitate biological enemies.

Cream would be another flier, perhaps with less stamina than her peers and the greatest running speed for a non-runner class character with Cheese as her main offensive option.

Blaze is another high-sped character and would make heavy use of her pyrokinesis.

Just to give a few ideas for playable characters.

Aside from a big, open world game for the player to explore with much of the series cast, a few spin-offs I would love to play:

A proper follow up to Sonic Spinball. E.g. each act is a gaiant pinball machine with multiple, interconnected tables. Perhaps a bit easier than the original or with a save feature so one doesn't have to master each zone to have a fighting chance when playing a new zone for the first time(I love the Genesis version of Spinball, but clearing the first zone never really got easy, and I've only beaten the second zone once or twice and never stood a chance on The Machine). And perhaps with some secret areas on each zone, more zones, or more than one playable character... Or perhaps even some 3-d segments ala the Casino-themed levels in Heroes. For multiple playable characters, perhaps Tails could occassionally uncurl to spin his tails for extra height, but does less damage to certain obstacles or can't destroy some obstacles at all that Sonic can. Knuckles is a heavier ball, so he gets less height from a flipper launch, but he destroys some obstacles in single hits that take Sonic multiple hits or can even destroy obastacles that are indestructible from Sonic's perspective.

I'd also like a Sonic Battle follow up... Imagine fully animated cut scenes in that game's angular art style, less pixelated battle maps, the first games Cast returning(perhaps with Omega an Gemeral replacing Chaos Gamma and EmerL), Eggman as playable character, Blaze, Silver, The Chaotix, Metal Sonic, and the Classic-Era cast as new comers, and maybe some Chronicles references(I never played Chronicles, but I hear it expanded on the Gizoid lore from Battle).

My god, you should work for SEGA, that's a very great idea for a Sonic game!!
