Bought that fancy new trinket you've been eying? Post it here!

But here's the deal: you MUST post pictures of it! But not just any pictures. Oh no, Google Image Search isn't good enough here. You have to take your own photos!

Also, don't show us something you've bought 2 years ago, because you don't buy things, everything should be a month or two old. As long as you've bought it recently. It's cool. I don't care if you bought a brand new PS2 in 2001 with your own money.

I bought these three about 3 weeks ago. £1 each.

I think this was about 2.5 weeks ago. 50p.

Then, these. £1 each. My brother bought these, but I paid him back. I didn't know that the onside game was football game I wouldn't have got it then.

This was last week. £1 each.

Also, this on the same day for £10. Pink's manly, yo'

I wanted one for a while.

I bought this a few days ago for £23, it came with the wheel. It was complete in box. The PS1, along with 2 dualshocks, and hell even the polystyrene was on the PS1. At least I can play all these games on they're original console if I want to I guess.

My brother got these, but they're for the 3DS which is mine, so.

Bought these today as well.

And, that's about all I think I've bought as far as I remember.

Also, spoilers for a lot of images.

3 Pokemon Plushies: Plusel, Latios, and Lucario
A Gloomy Bear claw
An All-Purpose Rabbit plushie
A My Neighbor Totoro lanyard with a Totoro plush thing
A Catbus plush from the movie My Neighbor Totoro
A Mei keychain with a bell, also from Totoro
An Alapaca head coin purse thing
Some Madoka Magica Pins
and finally a little Piplup figurine

Oh, I also got a Touhou shirt that I forgot to take a picture of with that stuff. Though I don't really know if that counts because my friend gave it to me.

I found some nice game resellers at a flea market I was at last weekend. Picked up Metroid and Castlevania for $12 each, and later found another dude selling some NES stuff. Snagged Zelda from him for $10. He had one of those gross/awesome snakeskin print NES cart storage boxes with ~6 games in it. Looking back on it, I should've offered him $60 for the whole thing. Oh well, I'm still pretty happy considering these are in beautiful condition:
Spoiler:
Image
Two days ago I went to a thrift store with my mom before work. I spotted this boxed SNES controller hanging with some other miscellaneous electronic ****, and grabbed it without really looking at it too closely. $7. After work I looked at it again, and it's an official SNES controller, and not one of those cheap 3rd party look-alikes. What's more, the controller is literally in mint condition. Both the controller and the papers inside are still wrapped in their original plastic, twist-ties and all. It has never been used. Out of curiosity, I looked on ebay to see what similar things are going for. I could probs sell this for $55+.

Damn, that's pretty lucky. That boxed controller as well.

Also, don't tell me how I know this, but I think that's the NES Classics Metroid, which was released before the end of NES's run.

Around 3 years ago for my birthday I got ~$50 so I went on Amazon and got this FMA Brotherhood figure (with the very costly shipping, it costed around $70) as well as a little FMA keychain for like $3
Spoiler:
Image
This is the best pic I could get of it currently, but it looks very badass

The kicker is that now, it costs ~$100 (when I ordered it, it was the only FMA figure of the three that were $50, the other two being Al and Mustang) which means I saved $50 on it

Link to Ebay page

I also got these three little Legend of Zelda figures for $2 each when I went to Gamestop recently

Image

The PH Link came with a little Phantom Hourglass and the Tetra came with a heart containuer, which their little cases didn't say they came with

I might also get more since I'm going back to Gamestop soon and their are still three I don't have

Not to mention my TF2 backpack, which I've spent OVER $300 ON TOTAL

http://tf2b.com/tf2/nerdkillaz

Thankfully I've spent some of the items I got on games (Killing Floor Complete Bundle as well as every other Killing Floor DLC, which altogether would be around $40, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, both Poker Nights, and a shitload of other games I haven't played in a long time), and all of the money I've put into it were from birthday/christmas/other gifts, but that's $300 into a game, and the best part is my backpack is worth around $80 right now.

Oh yeah, and I'm planning on spending even more on it soon.

I splurged on several material items just yesterday:

I wanted to expand my Wii collection a bit, so I purchased three games for a small sum of money. I also purchased a new CD album, Settle by Disclosure. Quite an amazing tracklist, I enjoy every minute of it. I suggest giving it a listen if you fancy UK Garage/House/Deep House music.
Spoiler:
Lastly, I found this Sonic the Hedgehog shot glass.

Well there's this R/C airplane I'm planning to get, so I don't have it, but I'm going to post a stock image of it because I do not care about your frivolous rules:
Image
These are the same plane. You can attach the wing to either over or under the body and you can switch between the two, only using a screwdriver.

Image
With the wing over, it is easier to fly and works more like a trainer aircraft (except it's kinda a step above trainer). With the wing under, it becomes an aerobatics aircraft. I will be posting pictures of the one I actually get... if I get it, when I get it.

I finally went to that Car Boot Sale I've been trying to go to for months.

Look at all the cool stuff I got.
Spoiler:
Image £4

Image £2 (Mem cards were free)

Image £1 (They're different, this one has composite cables on the back)

Image Free (Guy gave it to me because I bought the PS1's)

Image £2.50 (Wireless Xbox Original controller)

Image £1 (Didn't come with disc 1 though, I didn't check :/)

Image £1

Image £1

Image £1 (Didn't come with disc, but everything else is in there, manual, promotional crap)

Image £1
It was actually a decent haul, I had to clean up the Mega Drive, and the two PS1's but apart from that it was decent. All of this for under £15.

I'm definitely going next week.

Well, now it's time for Car Boot Sale 2: Electric Boogaloo
Spoiler:
Image

£1, I thought it was something else, didn't know it was online only, but I guess I spent £1 on it, so there was no loss really.

Image

£2. I wanted it for a while, so I might as well get this version of it

Image

£1 (I thought it was a broken SNES controller, since I have a propad version of it)

Image

£1, I got it from the same guy.

Image

£1

Image

Teal Gameboy Color. I bought it for £5 with Tetris.

Image

And now, for a happy but sad story.

I found these two in a dirty old damp box with loads of other items. It was also raining to add insult to injury. The guy didn't know what they were, and the annoying thing is I bought them for £2, and it turns out they don't work.

I looked online, and people say to open them and clean them, but I can't open them due to Nintendo Screwdrivers.

Still, I guess it's nice to have them.

Image

Image

Super Mario loads up, but won't play any games on the selection screen, and Starwing just doesn't work. I get a black screen.
So, yeah. It was okay, but I wish the SNES games worked.

@retro, have you tried to clean the SNES cart contacts? just put rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and rub the dirt off of the part of the board that sticks out on the underside. definitely worth a try. i had several NES games that wouldn't work because the underside was dirty/dusty. also, you'll be pleased to know that i got my friend's extra dreamcast TODAY! i'll add pictures in a little while. i had to go out and purchase a controller, vmu, and power + av cords. super excited for this, though. gotta come up with a paint scheme. i'm thinking i'll go for something jet set radio-y.

Ah, thanks. I'll have to buy some rubbing alcohol soon.

Also, that's really cool. Jet Set Radio is a good design, but check out others, Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia, are great designs too, and if you need any info about it just ask me.

I got a couple Origin games from the current Humble Bundle. The main highlight is BattleField 3, which my PC can barely play (I'll need to overclock or something before I can really get into the game. It's too choppy right now.) I also got DeadSpace 3, Crysis 2, Burnout Paradise, Mirror's Edge, and a couple other games that are either old or I don't care about.
I spent about 5$ in all. I don't have any pictures to show because they're all digital copies.

I also got a couple indie games from another cheap bundle, but they're more obscure. I spent less than 3$ for them.

The latest thing I bought which was strictly material would have to be a pogo pin charging cable for my Nexus 10. I like it a lot more than you'd ever expect someone to like a charging cable. And if it counts, I may be getting a new (high end) router soon.

I've had the plane for some time now and I have even taken it out on a flight. The thing's pretty fast. I'll need to remember to fly higher up than I did on my first flight as well.

As for the actual picture of the plane, here it is:

Might as well bump this with something I got recently.

I always told myself I'd get this, just so I could own it, and I guess I finally did. It was £80 due to the shipping, but it was £60 without, so I guess if I really were to buy this from Japan 15 years ago it would've been the same amount, perhaps more.

Image

Image

This is everything. It comes with a flag about the size of a computer case cover, if I had to guess maybe 30-40cm squared. I was thinking of putting it up in my room at uni, but that hasn't really occurred yet, even though it's currently in my room since I want to show my friend that I bought it.

Yeah, pretty neat huh?

Also great job MC, large images are downscaled to fit the page. That's really cool. These images are around 3160p if my Phone is correct about that resolution, they can also be expanded. This is a really great update. Now we just need the original theme back.
