well did you enable the main code of this mod (chao world extended) ? if yes :

for 360 you have to press X
for keyboard it's U

for other controllers, idk but it's one of 2 action button

To do it you need special jewel chao(witch shown in picture) + red wool beanie

Why do my Dark Chao now suffer from constant dizzy spells!?

actually hero chao get scared when they are in dark garden
and dark chao get dizzy when they are in hero garden

also some chao can be dizzy or scared because of his personality (and how his face is) :blink:

this is a detail i added long time, but i can remove it if you don't want

Could you perhaps make it an optional code? I like to have certain dark Chao in the hero garden.

Oh so that's why my Chao Genexis does that, he has the dizzy eyes.

Would it be possible to make a version of the D-Pad items code that is always active and doesn't require actually using the d-pad? I cannot get my d-pad to work, but I like the effects of the code and have no idea how to edit them myself. Thanks!

*Edit: Also, would it be possible to combine the codes from Chao World Extended with the codes that normally come with the loader, ex infinite rings?

Try to download x360ce Program (It will change your joystick into another joystick witch game will recongnise)Just type in google and you will find it :omochao:

When I use x360ce it refuses to recognize dpad inputs from my controller, otherwise I wouldnt have asked. Thanks for the help though.

I found the part of the code in codes.xml that relies on button inputs to activate, but whenever I edit it it refuses to run. Is that because I am not changing the codes.dat file? I don't know how to edit that.

If it refuses to change files then try to run as administator or just redownload it , dont forget all files must be put IN MAIN GAME FOLDER otherwise it will not work

The whole "Dark chao hate the hero garden thing" kind of presents a problem when using the giant hero garden code: ALL OF THE DARK CHAO ARE GONNA GET DIZZY! I don't really like that secret :(

No, because the code "16 chao in hero garden" disable the code who made the dark chao get dizzy when they are in hero garden

but anyway i will remove this detail (same for hero get scared in dark garden) on the next update

^While it would be nice if this hack could be applied to all versions of SA2, do you have any idea how many extra technical hurdles are added when hacking games for modern consoles? There is a reason more has been accomplished with the steam version in just a few years than has been accomplished in over a decade with the DC or GC versions, and the short version of why is that its infiitely easier to alter game data on a PC compared to a console. It would be an impressive feat to get half of this hack working on a DC or GC emulator(or PS3/x360 emulator if such existed), even more so for real hardware.

Its not impossible, but its highly improbable.

Yah! That would be a good idea and might be possible on the playstation 3 if the playstation 3 could be jailbroken on the latest ofw version.

well i have other mod to update like my mario kart wii mod (darky kart wii)
and i just got mario kart 8 so .. yeah

but anyway

Chao world extended v5 is coming soon so here the list :

New codes :
Advanced code : Mixing colors : you can mix chao colors with this code, please note for unknow reason the egg colors will be random AND that don't work with transparent chao

Everychao is different (better personality) : this is a detail code added from the main code chao world extended..
i separe this code for players who want classic chao reaction/personality
for people don't know or remember : this code made everychao different like chao can play his toys more than other chao or some chao can be dizzy, anger, happy, and other stuff (all depend of his face and personality)

Code updated : Hunger's difficult
yes.. again this code is upd.... i mean, i remade this code
now when your chao is hungry, the happiness don't go to 50 (or worse) but drop -2 every ~2 minutes
if your chao is a baby, he's gonna cry
for adult chao, he's will cry 1/2, so his happiness can be drop easely if you didn't pay attention, be careful

'detail' code removed :
dark reaction to hero garden + hero reaction to dark garden :
when dark chao live in hero garden, he get dizzy
when hero chao live in dark garden, he get scared
these code was in the main code "chao world extended" and be removed now (because it's annoying for some players)

New Texture Remade : Jungle Garden
Texture Updated : Darky garden

New Mods :
Special hero colors : some hero have different colors than the original game
Neon Dark Colors : the texture kinda "glow" in the dark

and that's all for today :blink: i don't fix the release date for the moment
