Adventure Map

Chao Adventure has 15 areas available for your Chao to explore. Each of them are exactly 3,600 meters in length. As your Chao travels further into any one of these areas, it will encounter many events, such as fighting Chao Bullies, finding treasure, meeting Sonic and his friends, or simply becoming sidetracked. Your Chao will go through 5 of these areas.

The rate at which your Chao travels through the stage is based on its stat value for the type of area it is in. For example, a Chao with a very high swim stat and a low fly stat will traverse a swimming stage faster than a flying stage! It will also allow your chao to dodge the attacks of Bully Chao more effectively.

Your Chao will eventually reach a signpost signaling that he has reached the end of the current stage. You can pick the next direction to go or let your Chao choose!

Below are the different routes you can take. On the marked stages you will meet a character from the main game who will help you out! Note that in Chao Adventure your Chao travels from east to west - the map below is not relative to the direction of the map in-game.

Chao Adventure route map

It will look like the various characters give your Chao a fruit for your inventory, but instead the effect is directly applied to your Chao.

  • Big The Cat: Gives your Chao +10 swimming stat.
  • Tails: Gives your Chao +10 flying stat.
  • Sonic: Gives your Chao +10 running stat.
  • e102 Gamma: Nothing known.
  • Knuckles: Gives your Chao +10 power stat.
  • Amy: Restores your Chao’s HP fully.

Note!

It has been said that e102 Gamma gives your Chao x2 speed for the stage - but this is not true! It’s possible that this was intended but left out or not working. UltimaNumber has tested this, and confirms no change in travel speed.
