The Fortune-Telling House is a location in the Chao Kindergarten. Here is where chao are given names and renamed in Sonic Adventure 2.
The fortune teller Chao is a unique chao with shiny eyelids, a face mask and a headband. Occasionally, they will look into the mirror laid on their desk.
How to name your Chao
Random Chao names
Initially upon bringing an unnamed chao, the Fortune teller will always give a randomly generated name, of which an exhaustive list of possible names is including on this page. If the name is undesired, there is always the option to try again.
Name your chao yourself
Optionally, the player may ask to name their chao themselves. This is done when you first reject the randomly generated name and decline the offer to generate another name; the fortune teller will ask if you would prefer to name the chao yourself.
