The enigma Funky G has been said to have existed as long as Chao Island itself. The creator, Mooncow, the Alpha and the Omega of Planet HippoTank, created Funky G in the form of his son to watch over the Planet and more specifically Chao Island. There is not much known about Funky G or his history, but several archives have said to been uncovered as we try to document the chronicles as best we can.

Chao or chao?

On Chao Island we base it on official Sega coverage, where Chao is used as a proper noun (so beginning with a capital). Although other mammals such as a dog or a cat are not capitalised, and so writing it as "chao" may seem more grammatically correct, we would like to stick to a set standard where we use "Chao" in all references across the site like Sega do.

How to display images

General images within text

The infamous Torro World. It is unknown if this image is authentic.

Use this for when you want to just include an image to show a point you are talking about in the article. It will place the image to the side and allow you to caption in. For example, in the paragraph I may be talking about how Torro World is the alternate reality of Chao Island, which many people have said to have had dreams (or nightmares) of, and even hallucinations. Some people believe Torro World exists, and one day Torro will return to Chao Island to claim the world for himself. This generally strikes fear amongst the members of Chao Island, but there are a few groups that are eager to celebrate Torro as their new king.

'thumb' will use a box with the caption underneath. Omit 'thumb' if you want just the image on its own. For full image attributes you can use, please read the MediaWiki help documentation here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Images

Image Galleries

Use image galleries to show a collection of images with captions. Please see below for an example.

Format of pages

On Wiki systems, the names of an article's subject are written in bold when they are first mentioned in the article. For example, the article Funky G would begin:

The enigma Funky G has been said to have existed as long as Chao Island itself. The creator, Mooncow, the Alpha and the Omega of Planet HippoTank, created Funky G in the form of his son to watch over the Planet and more specifically Chao Island.

Italics may be used for the names of books, movies, albums, and computer or video game titles. If the first mention of the subject of an article is also a book or movie title, then bold italic is used.

Other information to help

Headings

If an article has at least four headings, a table of contents is automatically generated.

Superscript and Subscript

To use the subscript format you type an opening tag before the text and a closing tag after it. The tags for superscript are and . Example:

Example: H2SO4 → 2 H+ + SO42−

References and Cite notes

You can make cite notes using <ref> and </ref> tages around what you want to give a reference for. For example: Mooncow's sanity was never in question.[1]

Known Documentation

Not much has been uncovered regarding the origins of Chao Island or Planet HippoTank, but there have been a few recorded scriptures to help piece together the current timeline of events.

The Book of Funky G

We have exerts of events occurring to Funky G in the not-so-distant past. We know this from the references to Chaopolis and the reference to Chao Points, placing it after Chao Island version 5 and before Chao Island version 7.

Extract 1

What I see frightens me – the local village is filled with junk!! Spambots? No... they have all been vanquished, the only ones left are mere illusions. Nevertheless the bots see me, and begin their chase – they are slow, but as I will soon find out - they dominate me in endurance without my powers. There's no time to think - if you think, you're dead.

Extract 2

Ah... A tranquility passes over me. Calm and at ease, I begin floating as if weighing no more than a feather. I remember this too well. The ground beneath me drifts further away, my powers fully returning. Sweeping across the island I see Chaopolis in its defeated state... No... It's glowing. The brightness intensifies. Chao fill the streets, shops and offices. Smiles and joy fill the city, what is this? Am I seeing the future?

The Book of Blade Genexis

The Book of Blade Genexis is described as an "ancient holy book", with the appearance of that of a "plain old book" with the cover written with an ancient language. It is said to contain many stories and is rumoured to have been in existence for over one million years. It's contents are said to contain the past, present and future of Chao Island written inside.

Extract
