Talk:Stats

The way to determine the maximum Stats a Chao can have is by giving the Chao nothing but +30s, or +31s if TCG is available. But the way to reach those numbers is actually quite forgiving up until the 3rd and 4th life. To determine the minimum values necessary, we need to work this backwards. First, let's take the absolute max values, 3266 and 3375, and subtract those by the maximum possible level ups, and the amount of times leveling up. So 3266-(30x98) and 3375-(31x98). We get 326 and 337. Given how Reincarnation divides stats by ten and rounds them down, this means we only need 3260, or 3370 if the TCG is available, by the end of the third life. Now, let's subtract those values down to determine the necessary values by the end of the second life. So, 3260-(30x98) and 3370-(31x98). We get 320 and 332. Now multiply them by 10, we need 3200, or 3320, by the end of the second life. Doing the same process to get stats needed for the first life, 3200-(30x98) and 3320-(31x98), to get 260 and 282, then multiplying them by 10, the stats we need for the first life are 2600 without TCG, and 2820 with TCG.

To make it more layed out, here's the minimum required to reach the absolute max stats, with and without the TCG.

Maximum: Without TCG: 2970, 3237, 3263, 3266 With TCG: 3069, 3344, 3372, 3375

Minimum: Without TCG: 2600, 3200, 3260, 3266 With TCG: 2820, 3320, 3370, 3375

With this data, we can now determine what is require to start the whole process. Also, as you can see, getting the highest possible values with TCG is actually more strict than without the TCG, so the requirements will actually be more demanding if you choose to use the TCG.

Without the TCG, it is possible to obtain the needed 2600 points with an A rank. But if you are going for the perfect Chao, it must have all S ranks in the second life to obtain the needed 3200 points. This actually means that if weather or not you're starting fresh, your Chao will only need 3 S ranks when born, and two A ranks. Or it can have 4 S ranks and 1 B rank. In other words, your Chao must have all S ranks by the time it evolves on its second life, as well as high enough stats. And it doesn't matter even if the Chao is born in the TCG, as long as the stat gains make up for the lost level. With the TCG though, it CAN have these grades, but the Chao has to have reincarnated with high enough stats first, as it's only possible to obtain 2820 with an A rank when your Chao reincarnates. When your Chao reincarnates with the required stats, it's time to improve the last A rank in as few levels as possible. It is actually possible to evolve a Chao into any given type with leveling up that stat even once, given that you give your Chao animals in such a way that the one stat won't reach enough experience points, and at the same time, the evolutionary influence gravitates towards that type. Once all this is done, your Chao is already ready for its second life of Perfect Stats.

Chao Stamina Study

Hello, my name is Quickhand413 and I opened a thread a couple of years ago in Chao Island Contributions discussing how the game related Chao stat values to in-game race results. Its original scope was to discern how every stat worked, but I was only able to cover Stamina before I had to drop the project and focus on finishing high school. Before the study ended, I was able to determine a fair amount about how Stamina functioned (how much a Chao had based on their stat value, and how cheering/racing drained the stamina bar) and felt that the new Wiki could benefit from this information. If you guys would be okay with it, I'd like to add the results of my work in calculating stamina and stamina decay into the stats page. I am open to answering any questions about the work, but I may be a bit rusty.

Hope my work can help the community! Quickhand413 (talk) 03:03, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
