Team Sonic Racing is the third kart racing game by Sumo Digital, and the first to feature Chao as a racer. Chao are categorized as a Technique-Type racer in the game, with Omochao piloting the vehicle in the back, and Hero, Dark, and Neutral Chao encased in a transparent bubble in the front. Omochao gives encouragement to teammates in the team.
Colours
In Team Sonic Racing, players can choose a paint kit to change the base colours of the vehicle of choice.
Colour 1: Changes the main body colour
Colour 2: Changes the bottom of the vehicle.
Colour 3: Changes the wheel covers, as well as the Emotion Ball colour
Glow: Only applies to Flash Bonnet and Fairy Wings, extra colour glows a little more.
Maintenance Parts
Players can also choose a variety of vehicle parts to augment the vehicle's driving experience. Legendary parts are the same as standard parts, but instead are gold.
